The Friends
— an
Alcossebre charitable organization —run
the Charity Shop as well as organizing other fund raising events. A
substantial proportion of the money raised is given to St Christopher’s
Anglican Church, the rest is donated to local causes, and the Friends’
intention is to return any surpluses to the community quickly.
The Friends would like to recognise the support by
Grupo Albert for the preferential rental terms for the shop and also Euro
Horizon who are the shop key custodians, and who are located opposite the
shop.

The Charity Shop
is located at El Centro, Alcossebre, Tel No 964 414 973. From the
roundabout at the Centro Commercial, go up the steps and the shop is on
the right hand side.
Opening hours are 09.30 to 13.00, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs
and Fri. Fiesta day openings need to be checked! The Friends need ...

Volunteers:
Many
of our volunteers serve in the shop once or twice per month, a few more
regularly, and we need more volunteers as we would like to increase our
opening days. People who come out to the area for 2 - 3 months are welcome
to become volunteers during their stay - we have volunteers from as far
away as Peñiscola and Vinarós. |

Our stock is constantly changing:
We
have over 1000 books, CD's, videos, talking books etc., we also have a
range of clothes which are changed seasonally, predominantly for the lady,
(we have a changing room). We have a range of bric-a-brac items. All these
are donated items. A sales board is available for those wising to sell
items too large to go into the shop: usually a photo, price
and contact number is displayed for a nominal charge per week. If you are
unable to bring items to the shop, collection can be arranged — we don’t
want items left outside the shop when it is closed, as this can cause real
problems. |
